I investigated a wholesale checkout, built a custom application, and helped deliver a replacement after the custom approach was blocked by the platform immediately before launch.
Customer-specific prices and draft orders came from an external system. Replacing the checkout screen alone would not reproduce those business rules.
I traced the existing pricing and order flow, built the custom checkout with a payment-gateway integration, then helped move the solution to Shopify checkout capabilities and separate shipping/delivery-rule apps.

A complete implementation still needed replacement. Platform feasibility had to take priority over preserving the code already written.
Tracing the dependencies
I followed variant and cart pricing through draft-order creation and the external order handoff. Discount calculations that were not visible in the inspected code remained integration questions rather than assumptions.
The launch change
The custom checkout was completed but did not become the launched solution. The team changed approach following a platform restriction. My work also covered backend bundle-discount integration and payment-rule work.
Result and lesson
The revised solution launched. The exact final payment and ERP parity is not established in the supplied records. On similar work, I would validate the supported payment journey before committing to the full implementation.
