The decision happens on the product page

Most traffic lands on product detail pages, yet homepages still get the redesign budget.
The post
Homepages get the redesign. Product detail pages get the leftovers.
For most stores, that's backwards.
Most traffic doesn't hit your homepage first—it lands on a product detail page. Ads, search, email, and an AI recommendation. That's where someone decides if the product, the price, and the store are worth trusting.
The homepage still matters for the brand. But the yes or no happens on the product page and in the cart. Slow pages, missing shipping or returns, weak reviews—sales die there even when the homepage looks great.
Teams pour budget into acquisition and wonder why conversion lags. The fix is usually boring: stronger product pages, clear policies, faster mobile, and less friction before checkout.
Prioritize where the decision happens—not just the billboard.
